Chanelle Keoghan is a New Zealand trained animator that is experienced in 3D and 2D animation with a huge passion for the industry .

A44 has been Chanelle’s most recent work experience, having worked on a high end AAA game from a over a year and a half. This included creating believable 3D gameplay animations and cinematics. Working with keyframe animation and Mocap. Plus implementation and testing of animation, learning basic locomotion systems, animation blueprints, quest line use and creating new action blueprints for synced animations and other specific animation needs. She worked closely with other departments and in turn found herself being well versed to finding problems in game and fix those issues on the spot or working with members of other departments to help resolve those issues.

Cerebral Fix is another gaming studio that Chanelle worked for. This studio works with Jam City, Disney and Lucas Films content. Working on both 2D and 3D animations for the games Emoji Blitz and Frozen Free Fall.

Chanelle has also worked for Mukpuddy, a children TV animation studio for 5 years. The content for this studio was wild and whacky stories and animation styles, with high out put. Chanelle learnt how to manage high volume workloads while maintaining the studio’s animation standards.

Chanelle gained her animation training from South Seas Film and Television School in Auckland, New Zealand. Greg Chapman was the head of the Animation department at South Seas Film at Television School and Chanelle’s mentor. Prior to studying animation, Chanelle In 2004 gained a Bachelor in Fine Arts and in 2014 gained a Diploma in Audio Engineering from Tai Poutini Polytechnic and has since worked in various areas of the arts.

Activism is a big part of Chanelle’s life. Being lesbian, the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights, woman’s rights, fairness and equality for all and any other marginalized groups is a great passion of hers. She is always happy to use the animation medium as a platform for these voices.
